Film Poster Evaluation

Once you have stuck your film poster into your book you must write an evaluation on the next page in your book (you can do this on the computer and then stick it in if you wish).

It must be between 500 - 800 words and you must answer the following questions in your response:

  1. How does your film poster meet the success criteria set at the beginning of the task? My film poster meets the success criteria because it has/does/is....
  2. How have you made sure that the film poster follows the appropriate conventions of a main poster? I made sure that my film poster followed the appropriate conventions because I included....
  3. Will your poster appeal to the target audience? Why/Why not? I believe that my film poster will/will not appeal to the target audience because...
  4. What are the strengths and weaknesses of the film poster? The strengths of my film poster are... because....  The weakness of my product are... because...
  5. If you were to make the poster again, how would you improve it? If I were to improve my poster I would change... This is because...

  • How does your film poster communicate the narrative of the film?
  • How does your film poster use media language (mise-en-scene, font style, camerawork, lighting, characters) to communicate the genre of your film?
